Andre was originally inspired at age16 when he walked into Xtreme Training Center, owned by once UFC champ Fabiano Iha who let him take some free classes. He loved the sport, and had always been in some sort of bad home situation. As he grew older he got back into the sport after nearly dying in a motorcycle accident at age 19. He came back into training very hungryand driven realizing that the only thing that could stop him was himself.
